What happens to all the foals the pregnant mares produce?
As you can imagine, impregnating so many mares creates tens of thousands of unwanted offspring.  To the drug company, these foals are nothing more than by-products of the urine production process.  Many do not survive the harsh conditions into which they are born, and those that do face grim futures.

Fillies (females) stand a slightly better chance of survival only to replace worn out mares on the production line.
